Held at the end of November, Bauma Shanghai attracted 150,000 visitors and is thus is one of the world's most important trade fairs for construction machinery. The 1,858 exhibitors from 37 countries were delighted with the 30% increase in visitor numbers over the previous exhibition in 2008.
Ammann placed major emphasis on ecological aspects and displayed a Uniglobe 320 with parallel drum and the pioneering foam generator at its generously dimensioned stand. Our plant control system as1 and the 24 MW version of the new Venturi low-pressure burner also attracted very considerable interest. On show for the first time in China, Amdurit wear protection was also displayed at the Shanghai Bauma and received a great deal of attention.
Bauma Shanghai has increasingly developed into a trade show with a reach extending beyond the borders of China. The visitor mix is becoming more and more international, a fact that was also apparent at the Ammann stand where groups of visitors from Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Southeast Asia were welcomed.
This year again, the customer seminar was especially interesting; it took place on the premises of the Ammann branch. Addresses by Hans-Christian Schneider und Daniela Schneider as representatives of the sixth generation opened the event, and visitors attended presentations on ecological road construction.
