The Ammann Group's Department for Common Research and Development (CRD) is currently relocating to its new location at headquarters in Langenthal (Switzerland). This is where well-trained engineers will research the technologies of tomorrow in modern laboratories. The goal of the CRD department is to support the technological departments in each of Ammann's manufacturing companies and thereby strengthen and further expand the Group's technological lead.

Ammann invests a significant portion of its means in product development and product improvement. CRD operates across the group at headquarters in Langenthal. It identifies new processes and technologies as early as possible by cooperating with universities and external research organisations and harnesses them for use in Ammann products.

The same building is home to the logistics arm of Avesco AG, the Swiss enterprise for construction machines, providing a modern workshop as well as a warehouse and offices. A meeting centre on the top floor provides employees and customers with an area to organise events and to cater for their needs at lunchtime.

The new building incorporates enhanced insulation methods, a modern ventilation system and a groundwater heat pump based on Minergie technology; it bears witness to the consistent pursuit of a future-oriented strategy as practised in every division of the Ammann group of companies.
