The airport in Christchurch and the roads of the Canterbury region in New Zealand will in future be paved with asphalt from an Ammann asphalt mixing plant. The Fulton Hogan Group has decided to purchase an Ammann Contimix continuous asphalt mixing plant. Having recently acquired Pioneer Road Services Company, the Group is now the biggest road building company in New Zealand and Australia.
Fulton Hogan decided in favour of Ammann in particular because of environmental friendliness, low energy requirements, high utilisation of reclaimed asphalt, innovative low-temperature asphalt production technology and the high standard of quality. A strong customer service provided by Ammann in the form of its newly founded subsidiary Ammann Australia was of major significance to the purchaser. The asphalt mixing plant in Christchurch is now the fourth Ammann plant that the Fulton Hogan Group – a family-owned business like Ammann – will take into operation.
Ammann would like to thank the Fulton and Hogan families for their trust. This success will further strengthen the claim of the Swiss family business to the Number One position in the global asphalt plant industry.
