The articulated tandem vibratory rollers AV X provide optimum compaction performance and a high standard of driver safety and comfort. The concept combines efficient operation with long service intervals.
The new Ammann AV X tandem rollers were developed to meet the demand of today's road building projects worldwide to compact asphalt sub-layers and wearing courses as well as gravel and soil. The unique design reflects the ideal combination of high-performance compaction and driver comfort.
The models AV 80 X, AV 110 X and AV 130 X are based on two frames connected by double joint enabling a crab-steering of 160 mm offset (180 mm) on both sides. The driver controls the roller from a comfortable vibration isolated panoramic cab mounted to the front frame. The concept offers excellent visibility to the, drum surface and edges sprinkler system, as well as all-round visibility to the whole working environment.
The power train is located in the rear frame. Independent pumps for drive and vibration provide an optimum traction and compaction performance. The combination of drum dimensions, frequencies and amplitudes delivers excellent compaction results.
