Versatile in use through high-impact kneading

The latest generation of Ammann rubber wheel rollers was developed according to the most recent insights into compaction on both bituminous asphalt layers and natural surfaces. The high-impact kneading effect is a property unique to pneumatic tyred rollers. The high wheel load and elasticity of pneumatic tyres provide a constant sealing effect. Various additional weights can be installed to optimise ballasting for the 4 + 4 smooth rubber tyres. A central tyre inflation system takes care of the right pressure, including when the vehicle is in operation. The roller's current design offers a 1 x 1 m view in front of and behind the roller.

The hydrodynamic drive system ensures good driving properties, outstanding gradeability and maximises the effective operation of the machine. A powerful Cummins engine combined with a Spice-Clark gearbox provides 3 machine speeds in both directions. The front steering axle has isostatic suspension with a paired dipping arrangement.
