Eleven SIM mixing plants in Algeria
18. November 2009

No fewer than eleven (!) reliable and earthquake-resistant SIM-Ammann asphalt mixing plants with the incredible capacity of 2,450 tonnes per hour are currently producing asphalt surfacing for a gigantic and extremely complex roadbuilding project over a total distance of 1,200 kilometers. The new road connects Tunisia and Morocco and traverses all of northern Algeria from east to west. The COJAAL consortium was awarded the contract for the eastern section of the extensive project – a stretch of more than 400 kilometers. The entire section has to be completed within 40 months. It was divided into seven subsections, each with dedicated mixing plants producing the required volumes of asphalt surfacing.
